Look at this cuteness!
susan stars tipped me off to a thread over at craftster where folks were talking about the snb book, and one girlie even posted a picture of a (sewing) project she made from it. What a cute DIY Project bag and needle case she made! I like the marimeko-ish fabric, especially. Now that the book is out, it's just so amazing to see these things actually being made by people. Of course, that was the purpose of the book...but still!
debbie, your book rocks! i just started knitting about a month ago and i am addicted! cant wait to start the projects in your book! good luck with your book tour!

I was in Barnes & Noble yesterday (in Salisbury, Maryland - yes the book has made it to the east coast as well!) when I ran across your book. I guess I'm sort of out of it as I had not heard of it, but had thought that there had been some reference to stichin and bitchin on some of the blogs and knitters review. Well, I opened it up and immediately recognized some of the designers (from blogs and knitty fame) as well as some of the patterns. I had to have it! But, what really sold me was the pattern for the needleholder you have pictured here. Everything fell into place for me this morning when I received email from the Knitter's Review which featured a reference to the book! It was meant to be for me! Thanks - and, I really enjoyed reading about your knitting with your grandmother...my grandmother taught me to knit as well.

I whipped up the Roll Your Own Needle case this weekend (along with a matching tote of my own design) and it turned out great. I love the projects - especially since they run the range of easy to more complex but I especially enjoy your stories and dialogue. Good job.

I knew there were some great projects in it, but I couldn't believe the wealth of information the book contained! Absolutely invaluable to a relatively new knitter such as myself. Hi Debbie, I've got the book and I'm raring to go! I've been a strictly scarf and hat kinda knitter for a while now, and now I'm determined to make a Skully-Howl sweater (the bulldog is gonna look like such a baddass). But I'm lost! I don't know how to change colors (I've read your instructions a bunch of times to no avail) and I have no friends that knit. What's a Single-SnB girl to do? I realize you're probably getting more and more swamped by the limelight (soak it up, girl!) so if someone sees this post and takes pity on me, hit me up! Thanks!
