with RS together, use backstitch to seam narrow ends of gusset piece, 1/4" from edge Does that mean sew the two narrow ends together? or just reinforce them, like seperately? Sorry. I'm kind of brand new at knitting... Turning the long strip you have, into a loop. It's the side of the bag ;)
