They're website is up & running-Check it out:

http://www.knitwitskeywest.com/

Finally a kntting store has opened in the Florida Keys!? It's called Knit Wits and it's located at 218 Whitehead Street (next to the Mel Fisher Museum) and one block off of Duval Street. I live in the Keys and have been starved for a "real" knitting shop (not relying on online purchases soley).? This is a list of what they have (they sent me a wonderful e-mail describing themselves to me after I stumbled across them on? Key West Chamber of Commerce bulletin.? They are working on their website? http://www.knitwitskeywest.com which will be up and running shortly.

They carry carry an extensive line of high quality, beautiful yarns and yarn kits from such fine companies as Berroco, Skacel, Debbie Bliss, Colinette, Karabella,Trendsetter, Mango Moon, Louet, Brown Sheep, and Debby Ware. Additionally, carry needles and crochet hooks, accessories, books and magazines, bags, buttons, hand-knitted scarves and belts and other gift items from? various companies including: Lantern Moon, Bagsmith, Zecca, Moving Mud, Vogue Knitting, and Interweave Press. 305-295-7565 M-F - 10:30am - 5:30 pm, Sat. - 12 noon - 4 pm, Sunday - closed.? Debby, Maxine, Laurie and Phyllis (The Knit Wits)

Can't wait to get over to Key West,
Donna?

I am fortunate enough to say that I just visited Debby's shop last
Tuesday. It's a beautiful shop filled with walls of lovely yarn
catering to tropical wear), unique hand made items, those "cool"
glass buttons by Moving Mud, an adorable baby section, books,
mags, bags & lovely needles. Debby couldn't be sweeter and more
helpful. It's located in a beautiful section of Key West. And the store
beckons you from the curb to come into it's lovely coolness and lose
yourself amongst all the goodies in the shop. I purchased a Lantern Moon
"Ring Tote" in Lime (fabulous for summer) and skeins of Cotton Chenille
from Crystal Palace Yarns & Cotton Twist by Berrocco. I experienced a
sort of "sensory overload" when I walked in and tried to take it all in
at once. I'm a transplanted New Yorker (moved to Islamorada) and the
Keys has never offered anything for knitters before this. Do yourself a
favor, if your lucky enough to be visiting our little islands, stop by
Debby's shop "Knit Wits". Wink
