Kyahbean, it does almost look blue!  That's so weird.  The actual color is more like the top picture, very green.  I finally finished it this week...I posted finished pics on my blog--  www.thejilly.blogspot.com  , if you want to check it out.  It's so easy, but looks so tricky... LOVE it!  Smiley

And thank, btw!  Cheesy

I just found the knit picks site and I was wondering what you thought about the woool from the Andes yar. http://www.knitpicks.com/Wool+of+the+Andes_YD5420103.html. I'm thinking about making a afghan so i need some non scratchy but warm yarn.

WOA yarn is very nice...I think that it is a softer wool yarn.  If you are making and afghan and want it to be super soft and wool, I really like the Swish yarn from Knit Picks, much softer than WOA, and machine washable to boot!  I am making a pair of wool socks for my dad out of the Swish...its nice to work with, doesn't split, great stitch definition...for sure one of my go to worsted yarns from now on!

I've felted some stuff with it, and I made a hat for my stepmother.  I really like it.  Definitely NOT scratchy!

You can wear a hat, but it's really hard to wear a thesis.

Jill,
I LOVE how your scarf came out. I adore the color.
I started using that pattern when you posted it, my first attempt at not only cables, but picking up knitting again after a few years. I then decided to alter it slightly with a bigger cable in the center, and made a scarf for my mom like that. your right, the product looks tricky, but its really not that difficult! thanks for posting the pattern here!!

I really like Knit Picks too.  But, do your math before you buy.  What  usually comes from the store is up to 100 gms a ball, where KP charges a fraction less for half the amount (50 gms).  What I do is periodically go to the the SALE section.  Have never been dissapointed.
