Here are some of my OOBB, made from various stash yarns for my brand new nephew, Rohan (unfortunately not named after the delicious brand of yarn):

This pattern is really fun and easy.  Minimum effort for maximum "ooh" and "ahh"-ing. Smiley

Those booties are so cute I could eat them with a spoon!  What a great job you did.  Where they hard to knit?  I've though about knitting some for a friend's new baby.  I also loved the colors you used - not the usual icky pastels.

Has anyone tried to these booties on a baby?  I am wondering if they actually stay on?

I knit some for my neice's newborn, and she outgrew them in a couple weeks.  But they did stay on, even though my neice hardly used them because she wanted to keep them in pristine condition.

What kind of yarn are y'all using? I want to make some to put in a raffle, I think they'd be popular if I can get cute buttons.  I'm vegan though and I haven't seen a lot of vegan chunky yarns....will  try.

Last night I was just about to start in on the big bad baby blanket for my future niece/nephew, I'd even cast-on! Then my boyfriend mentioned his co-worker  had given birth over the weekend. Well, I HAD to give the pattern for one-hour booties a try! They really did take an hour to knit. Finishing took way too long, because I futzed with it too much. But it was fun!

I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick, and kool-aid dyed the yarn some time ago.

I made some of these just for a fun and quick project with  friends one afternoon- and then i was hooked. I have made several pairs, and only aftererwards do I learn of new babies coming into the world in the need of booties. When my housemate's old school gaming nerd friends had a baby, I added wizard and dragon buttons to a pair I had made and sent them off with the oversized plush 20 sided die. Not just crafty, also extremely nerdy. Hooray!

I would love to post a picture, but I have to figure out how.............

Huh  Quick Question, on Row 10 it states K15, skp, turn.  I've got the K15, the skp, but "turn"?  I'm confused.  Does it simply mean that I turn the needles so the yarn is hanging from the opposite side?
Thanks for any help  Smiley

Can someone please help me?!?! I am new to knitting, and have made a scarf and the cell phone holder. I am having trouble reading the pattern. The inc1 confuses me, especially since the notes states "inc1: K and P into the same st." Does that mean knit and purl into the same stitch, if so I am so confused! Do I do a M1, if so how do I k and p that? Please help, since I am obviously confused, lol.

Thanks!

After searching a little further I was able to find the answer to my confusion. I was trying to do a M1 instead of a Bar Increase.

Thanks anyways:)

I'm not using wool, as I know other children in that family have v sensitive skin.  Instead I'm using soft acrylic blends in chunky for some, and acrylic babyDK (aka "sportweight" in the US) knitted 4 strands at a time for others.

I did consider using cotton (again, stranded up), but was a bit worried about how long they'd take to dry.  I suppose you could use bamboo or viscose, but I'd want to be sure it could be machine washed.
